Are beginners welcome?

Yes absolutely. Our retreat welcomes everyone who loves art and henna. The retreat is especially designed for those wanting to learn more about henna, become a henna artist or is already a henna artist wanting to expand their skills, and/or business.

 

What is the best airport to fly (or train) into?

The best airport to fly into would be BWI-Baltimore Washington International.

 

Will there be carpooling?

Yes there will be scheduled carpooling via the Henna Sooq Tran from the airport to the retreat center every day for everyone. Please make sure you sign up for airport pickup or carpooling. Should you need carpooling from and to other locations please head to the Henna Chai group page to sign up.

 

When does Henna Chai begin?

Henna Chai begins at 5 pm on March 13, 2015. There will be a meet, and greet with fun, and games starting at 8 pm.

 

Will dinner be served the first day?

Yes there will be dinner on March 13, 2015 at 7 pm

 

Will there be both Henna and Budokon activities?

Yes there will be both activities going on at Henna Chai. You can take any class you choose to from both programs, and customize your own schedule. To find out more about Budokon please click here

 

What time does Henna Chai end?

Our event ends at 8 pm on March 15, 2015

 

What time do classes begin and end each day? How long are Classes?

Both Saturday and Sunday, classes start at 9 am and end both days at 6 pm for dinner. All classes last 1 hour and 30 minutes.

 

Will there be free Wi-Fi (internet)

Yes there will be free wi-fi and even a computer room for your use. The computer room contains 3 computers.

 

Do we need to bring our own bedding?

No, all bedding is provided.

 

How many to a room?

Each room differs in size, and can range from 3-6 to a room. Some rooms contain a private bathroom, and others have the bathroom across the hall. There are a total of 2 lounges included in our area.

 

How private is each room?

Each and every room comes with a lock and you’ll receive 1 key to your room to be shared with your roommates.

 

Are we allowed to choose our room?

You can request who you’d like to room with and we’ll accommodate you as best as we can. Please note it won’t always be possible and in the end you may be assigned a room.

 

Will be vegetarian and allergy options available at meals?

Yes absolutely. In your registration form you’ll list your meal preferences and requirements. The retreat center serves kosher meals.They also practice organic farming, and have organic foods.

 

How many meals and snacks are included?

You’ll be served dinner on March 13. On March 14 and 15, you’ll receive 3 meals and 1 snack per day. There is unlimited milk, water, tea, coffee and juice available. We’ll also have mini fridges for our use in our rooming area. Any food and snacks are okay to be kept in our rooming area. No outside food is allowed in the dining hall, and main building where classes are held due to kosher restrictions.

 

Will henna be provided?

Yes there will be henna paste galore!! Henna will be in cones. If you prefer to use bottles, please bring your own. We’ll have lots of carrot bags filled with henna paste for you to dispense. You can even roll your own cones with our pre-cut Henna Chai cones.

 

Will there be Henna Sooq products for sale?

Yes Henna Sooq will be selling products along with other vendors. They accept cash or credit card as payment.

 

What is your refund policy?

Amount paid towards registration made before February 27th, will be refunded in full minus 20% administration and processing fee. On and after February 27th, there will be no refunds issues. Sorry no exceptions.
